Microsoft Windows 11

I'm having some difficulty scanning large documents using the HP DesignJet T2600. The Scanner/printer wont always feed unless I open and shut the Scanner cover. That seems to reset the sensor and the paper will feed through. The sensor has been wiped with a microfiber cloth and cleared of any dust, but the problem persists.

Please advise. Thank you.

Hi @PZClerk

If you're experiencing difficulties with the scanner feed on your HP DesignJet T2600 printer, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check the Scanner Cover and Sensors:

    • Since you've already cleaned the sensors with a microfiber cloth, ensure all scanner components are properly aligned and secured.
    • Ensure the scanner cover is closed securely. An improperly closed cover can result in malfunction.
  2. Inspect the Document Path:

    • Verify that the document path is clear of any obstructions that could interfere with feeding.
    • Check for any small debris or leftover fragments of paper that might be causing jams or misfeeds.
  3. Verify Document Condition:

    • Ensure the documents are not torn, wrinkled, or too thick, as these can cause feeding issues.
    • Align the documents properly on the scanner with the guides.
  4. Calibration:

    • Perform a scanner calibration to ensure that the scanner sensors are working correctly.
    • Refer to the printer’s user manual for specific instructions on calibrating the scanner.
  5. Update Firmware and Drivers:

    • Check for any updates to the printer’s firmware or drivers. This can often resolve operational issues.
    • Visit HP's official website for the latest updates specific to your printer model.
  6. Perform a Power Cycle:

    • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear any issues.
