Microsoft Windows 11

My designer z9+'s LCD screen is black even though the power light is on. I tried to connect to it via the network and via a desktop to try controlling it from a desktop. With no luck. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this issue?

Thanks,

TR

On the back of the printer there are 3 leds, please report the status of those 3 leds as that is first step in troubleshooting. Also what color is the light on the power button?

The power button is white. I will report my answer to the other question shortly.

I *think* you're talking about the three reddish circles as shown in the picture attached?

Thanks again for your help.  Not sure if you saw my replies but to sum up, here is a pic of the three lights you asked about. What do you think it means? The printer light is white for on.  The LCD is black. Probably more going on than just the LCD screen I suppose. I was able to connect to the printer on the network and tried installing the HP universal driver, but couldn't get it it do anything.

Cannot tell from the picture, are all three on solid?

They appear to be off.  The color comes from the plastic red casing. There is no illumination coming from it. Does that help?

At this point I would suggest you find a copy of the service manual, many resources post them online, board rules prevent me from providing a link.  In general it is going to be either the power supply, the formatter or the power button. I suggest the manual because it provides instructions on how to test the power supply.
