Thanks for contacting the HP Support Community.

If you've installed HP Click on your Windows 11 machine but are experiencing issues such as missing application icons or unexpected file dialogs, here are some steps you can take to resolve these problems:

  1. Check System Requirements:

    • Ensure that your system meets all the necessary requirements for HP Click. Verify compatibility with Windows 11.
  2. Update Windows and Drivers:

    • Ensure your Windows system is fully updated. Often, a Windows update fixes compatibility issues.
    • Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date as graphical user interface issues can sometimes be resolved this way.
  3. Run as Administrator:

    • Try running the HP Click application as an administrator. Right-click the application shortcut and select "Run as administrator."
  4. Clear Temporary Files:

    • Sometimes, clearing temporary files can resolve file dialog issues. Open Windows File Explorer and enter %temp% in the address bar to access the temporary files folder, and delete all files there.
  5. Check Application Settings:

    • Go to Settings within HP Click or any configuration files to ensure the application is set up correctly and check for any incorrect file paths or misconfiguration.
  6. Use HP Support Assistant:

    • Use the HP Support Assistant to check for updates related to HP Click and any other HP software. It might offer some patches or notify you about known issues.
  7. Reinstall with Clean Boot:

    • Perform a clean boot of your Windows system to eliminate background interference:
      • Type "msconfig" in the Start menu to open System Configuration.
      • Under the Services tab, check "Hide all Microsoft services" and then click "Disable all."
      • Under the Startup tab, click "Open Task Manager", and disable all startup items.
      • Reboot your system and try reinstalling HP Click.
  8. Reinstall HP Click:

    • Uninstall HP Click completely using the Control Panel or Windows Settings.
    • Navigate to the official HP Click download page and download the latest version.
    • Reinstall the software following the on-screen instructions.

Kindly let us know if the suggested steps help fix the issue. We’re always here to support you.
