Hello!  I’m attempting to load a clear Mylar plotter roll, but every time I load the roll, it cancels after a few moments and does not give me an error code of any kind.

The printer has a light sensor that detects white media edge, if the media is clear it can't be detected.

Is this an HP product or 3rd party? Is the actual roll clear?  The HP product looks to have a white backing and if that is missing it will likely cause issues with optical sensors in the printer as it will not see the media. This is speculation on my part as I have not tried any clear films in this model.

The clear film for HP designjets must have a white border, it can be removed later after printing.
