HP DesignJet T1600dr 36-in PostScript Printer

I just had a T-1600dr PDF v4 installed.  It has 2 rolls to print from.  Roll 1 is for 24" width and roll 2 is for 36" width.  When I select the 18X24 it autoselects the 24" roll (roll 1), but when I select 24X36 it does NOT select roll 2. It prints from the same roll.  So I want to set up the printer to autoselect the 2nd roll when the drawing has a 36" width.  Has anyone ever had this issue?

The problem is that these plotters are designed to provide maximum use of paper and speed. So if the loaded roll can provide the correct paper, it will print on that roll and rotate the job if required. You could try modifying the advanced settings of the driver and turn off auto-rotation and set rotation to zero degrees. That may force it to select roll 2 when the width is 36 inches.
