Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I got an Automatic Sheet Feeder for my HP DesignJet T210. It came with visual instructions. I am very mechanically inclined. But I cannot at all figure out how to put on the small piece on the direction sheet for No 1 step. Wish they would give written directions, or a better picture. Does not make too much sense to me. PLEASE HELP. It should just slide in SOMEWHERE? But what direction and where?

By the way, it seems there isn't really a good spot to put this in as a reasonable question for the categories listed. Thanks, HP. Been with you for years. Never been so darned frustrated as with this printer.

The easiest way is to set #3 on a flat surface, and attach #1 to it and then insert #2 into #1.  Normally it is pretty clear what way they fit together, but I have never installed one of these exact units. I checked my tech site and no video there either.
