hp designjet 450c. the paper roll width sensor (C4713-60039) , which is located on the cartridge carriage, does not work. what can this optical sensor be replaced with? is it possible to make the plotter ignore the sensor and skip checking the paper width?

Should be replaceable but might be difficult to source. I do not think there is a way to turn it off simply because the printer needs to know where the edges of the paper are so it does not spray ink where there is not paper.
