Hi @Rdp1954,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DesignJet T210 printer is not cutting the roll paper after printing, despite the form feed working correctly, there are a few potential reasons and troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Check Cutter Mechanism:

  • Ensure that there are no obstructions blocking the cutter mechanism.
  • Verify that the cutter blade is not damaged or dull.
  • Clean the cutter mechanism to remove any debris or paper dust buildup.

2. Check Cutter Settings:

  • Access the printer's settings menu or software interface.
  • Verify that the cutter option is enabled and set to cut the paper after printing.
  • Adjust the cutter settings if necessary.

3. Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer.
  • Visit the HP support website and download/install any available firmware updates for your printer model.
  • Firmware updates may include fixes for cutter-related issues.

4. Perform Printer Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds, then plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Try printing again to see if the cutter functionality has been restored.

5. Check Paper Type and Size:

  • Ensure that the roll paper being used is compatible with the printer.
  • Verify that the paper size settings in the printer's settings menu match the actual paper size being used.
  • Adjust the paper type and size settings if necessary.

6. Test with Different Paper:

  • Try printing with a different roll of paper to see if the issue persists.
  • If the problem occurs with multiple rolls of paper, it may indicate a problem with the printer itself.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

If it tries to cut and fails then it is most likely that the cutter needs to be replaced.
