WIRING INSIDE THE PRINTER HAS BEEN DAMAGED

@SIRJEE,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

It sounds like your HP MFP M72630 has suffered extensive internal wire damage due to rodents. Unfortunately, repairing such damage is extremely difficult, as it would require replacing and rewiring multiple internal components, which is almost certainly not cost-effective.

Your best options may be:

  1. Contact HP Support or an Authorized Service Provider – They can assess whether repair is feasible, though the cost will likely exceed replacing the unit.
  2. Consider a Replacement – Given the extent of damage, investing in a new printer might be more practical.
  3. Prevent Future Incidents – If rodents are a recurring problem, consider protective measures such as sealing entry points and using deterrents.

If you need recommendations for a replacement printer that suits your needs, let me know.

Kind Regards,

Depending on how many wires have been cut the unit might be a write off unless someone is prepared to spend hours splicing wires. I say this because often internal wiring harnesses are not available as a spare part.
