HP Latex 54 Basic Plus Cutting Solution
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

We received and installed  HP Latex 315 Print and Cut machines. The printer works just fine. We had a 300 before so everything was familiar. The Cutter/Plotter is a different story. Spent 2 weeks trying to get the thing to contour cut a graphic which was printed and laminated. Everytime I loaded the vinyl and indicated the first mark the front panel of the cutter would say "Marks Exceed Sheet Size." I have spent hours talking to HP, Flexi and our reseller. No one has ever heard of this error. After printing multiple versions of the graphic at various sizes I took one print, unlamented and it cut just fine. Printed the graphic again and laminated it. Immediately the error appeared, so we believe it is the laminate, but after trying different OPOS settings we can't get it to cut with laminate. Now, HP will not take my calls and the techs I spent hours with will not call me back.

Has anyone else had this issue? With laminated vinyl, not the techs. Most of our stuff is laminated and I can't believe I am the only one to get this error and there is no solution. Please HELP!

I have the same issue and sometimes have to reload the work into the cutter 30-40 times just to get it to work and not get the mark exceeds  sheet size and seems as though no one from HP wants to look into this. I am on my second cutter due to issues which took HP forever to decide on replacing the cutter but now with the new replacement I have different issues
