I am a teacher that was gifted a Z6100. It is out of warranty and in the SF Bay Area there seems to be no one that works on aqueous. I am having issues with the carriage filling up with ink. I checked and cleaned the printheads and carriage, I checked the lines for air bubbles.
I did try to replace the ink back into the cartridge and got a broken bag error, although the bag is intact. Trailing cables are pricey. Is It possible to flush the trailing cables?

I would check YouTube for videos by LPS computer. They have a lot of information on recovering printing systems on Designjet products. You may also want to locate a service manual and there are websites that post them.
