I had to update the hard drive on my T1200 which has TT6-TTAJ_6.0.0.6 firmware

 

When I try to update via it's website it fails

 

When I download current fimeware it also fails

 

seems I need to update to TT6-TTAJ_08_02_03.3.90_mvl40-x86-opt_B.fmw first but I can not find it

 

Do I  have to buy it on ebay, or anyone know where I can download!??

Can you clarify, did you replace the hard drive on the plotter? And if yes, what type of drive did you install. On DesignJet products you must purchase a drive that has a preinstalled operating system, you cannot put a blank drive in and update.

Yes new hard drive that included the OS and works, just that the version is old and I wanted to update to current version but not will work with the only firmware available on HP's website.  The USB method does not work, nor the internal website.  Others saying I have to update to some intermediate version first but I can't not find that on HP site.
