HP DesignJet T2600dr 36-in PostScript Multifunction Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Our T2600dr keeps jamming when printing. Do we need to use heavier 24# paper instead of 21#?

The specs do not post a minimum weight, only a maximum. However if you look at the user guide, it states that it supports 63 g/m2 which is roughly 16 pound bond. Where are you getting jams? Is there perhaps a physical problem you are dealing with like a damage paper guide?

Hi:

Thank you for your reply.

It is good to know the specs about the allowed paper.

The jams occur typically halfway printing a C Size print. The paper gets jammed just after it passes under the metal piece that guides the printheads.

We had two technicians come to repair the printer and they said they couldn't find anything wrong and suggested that the paper was the culprit. We were using 21# HP paper. Now they suggest we use 24# paper, preferable not HP.

We have 3 of the same printers and they all present the problem. The printers are new.

Thank you again for your helpful reply.

Do either of the pictures and error codes match your issue?

If so, what is the date of manufacture of your printers?

Hi:

Thank you again for your reply.

I am attaching a picture of one of the jams.

Seems to be more like your picture one, scan axis code, I think.

This printer was manufactured :9.14.2021

The other two: 9.15.21

Thank you.
