We have a Z9+ 42" DesignJet on the network in my office. I'm mapped to it and the drivers are installed.
When I try to send a job to the Z9 in HP Click, my PC falls off the network before the data can finish transmitting. I have to reboot to get back on the network. The Z9 will print as much data as it got, usually a couple of inches into a 30" long poster.
Our first line IT folks took a look at my PC and couldn't find a problem with the network devices. They're suggesting that the problem is with HP Click or the Z9 drivers.
Any advice? In the meantime, I'm printing from the front panel of the Z9 with a USB stick.

Most times I have run into this type of problem has been due to a duplicate IP address on the network. If you know how to ping a network device you can test this by unplugging the network cable from the printer and then pinging the address of the printer. If you get a response when it is unplugged you know instantly that another device on the network has the same address.

I'll ask IT to take a look, I'm not sure what other printers are on the network.
Out of curiosity, why would a duplicate printer IP address kick my PC offline, and not the printer?

Depending on setup, your system may drop the network if it thinks that a hacking attempt is in progress, which is what having two devices responding to your network traffic would look like.
