I have two very seperate questions... but maybe someone can help me with at least one! HP DesignJet z6100 60 inch. Printer keeps rolling through different IP addresses (hooked up through ethernet) so that when I try to access the info page, it keeps saying unavailable. Check the printer, it's got a new IP. Put the new IP in, it will work for a minute, go to print something, it goes to unavailable again. Very frustrating!! Also, in the last week or so, carriage keeps catching the edge of the paper and ripping it all to hell and back. Any ideas why it started doing this?
Thank you everyone!!

Hi,
IP should stay the same for a session. Anyway, you can give it a fix (static) IP address from your router. Please look at the router manual.
Regards.

Hi,
As banhien mentioned, use a reserved IP address.
Set it up at the printer and the router.
About the paper problem.
1 - Clean the platen, make sure the holes are all clean as it is what suck the paper down
2- Make sure the paper selection match the pepr you are loading, as the vaccum system will work depending on this
3- At the printer panel, change the altitude to increase the vacuum.
4- The natural curl of the paper can cause this. If the material is too rigid, could be had for the printer to reduce the curl. flat the paper before loading it
