HP PageWide Pro MFP 477dw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

so our company have a pagewide pro 477dw printer.

as the system administrator, of the small company without a print server or any print management software

I found out that the printers' web GUI  feature a Access control under settings>security>access control

they liked the whole cant print without password thing. but now they are seeking of a per user page count.

is there  a way to do like a per user page count?

If you are looking for in depth reporting and control an Enterprise Laserjet M577 would have been a better choice as you can print monthly print logs broken down by user and also limit prints and copies by user (quota system). The M477 being a small office product does not offer the same sort of control and would require third party software like PaperCut to do that.
