HP DesignJet T795 44-in Printer

Good day.  I'm at my wits end.   I have a T795 I bought at government auction.  I bought  a hard drive with firmware.  I bought cheap ink.  Initially when I installed the ink, the printer printed a page, but the colour was off.  Immediately afterwards, it told me the grey ink was out.  Then it told me to replace the print heads.  So I went and bought a HP grey cartridge and that solved the problem.   However I was still getting printhead errors.  Again, using knockoffs.  So I bought new HP printheads, and I get a printhead replacement not complete.  When I check the status of the printheads, it says they are ok, but have an X next to them.

I tried starting with, without items installed, I tried to drain any air in the lines using a syringe.  I did notice that while the other colours allowed me to draw ink,  the black/yellow would not let me draw anything and couldn't "suck" anything out.

Any ideas?

You will need an HP tech to purge the lines. Using special tools and service mode access.

How full are the ink cartridges?  The printhead replacement process won't complete if the ink is low on any of the cartridges.

I don't work for HP....I just repair their printers.

All ink cartridges are above 80% and are all recognized.
