Hi, all,

There's this T250, all of a sudden it won't finish printing anything. When choosing the paper roll tray and sending any job it just starts printing, just a few lines, then a "Cancelling" message shows up. All of the process prior to printing (the paper roll mode input, the paper loading, and the alignment) seems to be correct, but nearly as soon as the printing starts it stops.

I've noticed that the paper never gets unloaded by means of the paper roll. It is pulled back through the paper load mechanism quite as normally, but have never seen the roll rotating. It DOES when loading paper, but never when it is supposed to unload it. I even get prompted to unload it manually; I always thought the unload was meant to be done automatically. I don't know if that should be the usual way it works (the printer in fact isn't mine, it belongs to a customer).

It is my thought that both, the printing interrupted and the roll not rotating back, may be somewhat related. Am I right or there might be something else underway?

Thanks in advance for your help. 🙂

Abel

How does it print when you print something from the printers reports menu?

Hello, Valsimot:

Same story. I even performed a cold reset, but nothing changed.

I took the time to clean any dirt stains off the encoder strip, the same result again. There's no way that I can get it to print the entire thing of any job sent, no matter the source.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. 🙂

Reset it to factory settings and test, update printer firmware and test if the reset isn't helpfull.

Hi,

In the end the owner decided to abort the process and take the plotter.

Something prevented me from upgrading the firmware, so I'll never know whether it was or wasn't the solution.

Anyways, thank you so much for your commitment with my issue. GOD bless you. 🙂
