Man I'm dumb, I thought someone said to select local printer. I didn't even read the other options. Just assumed I'd figure that out when the time comes and worry about installing the driver for now. I dont know why it worked but once I set up the printer and selected tcp/ip printer it worked. 

Also, Linux has a driver that works. I used the driver for the designjet 750c

Seemed to work fine. 

Now I have a few more issues to sort out. After installing a new black ink cartridge, it says my color cartridges are the wrong type. I put the old and obviously generic cartridge back in and no change. I've seated and reseated and cleaned and recleaned to no avail. So I need to fix that before I move on with the printer.

Anyway, thank you so much for your help.
