Hello! Need help with HP T2530 plotter. An error has appeared. Judging by its code, the error indicated problems with the hard drive. We tried to replace the disk with a new one, but as expected, nothing happened - error 06.3:10 appeared. Please help me replace the hard drive. What needs to be done step by step. Thanks in advance!

Did you order the correct hard drive from HP or try to use a drive you had on hand? The drives require files that are pre-installed by HP and if you try any other drive it is impossible to install it.

Here's a brand new 500GB drive, preloaded, with life time warranty from LPS Computers.  I have no affiliation other than being a very satisfied customer.  They also have a link on that page to download the Service Manual, if you need it.  If you have questions, call or email them.  They're very good about answering inquiries.

As Repairatrooper said, you can't just put in a blank HD.  It must be one that has the HP software preloaded.

Hi! i dont have apportunity to by another HDD/ I have only one - new  WD HDD 500GB MDL: WD5000LPZX-08Z10T2. Can i use this part? If it is Ok how?

The error code you posted in your first post does indeed point to the hard drive having a problem.  You might try removing the disc from the formatter board and connecting it to another computer just to see if it spins up,  You won't be able to read anything on the disc because the software is HP's proprietary software.  But at least you'll know the mechanical part of the disc is working.  Or maybe you've already established the disc spins ok?

 

Sorry to disappoint but I'm afraid you won't be able to use the disc you have because it doesn't have the HP software loaded.  Are you able to return the disc you bought for a refund?  Or resell it after you get the correct hard drive and the printer is working?
