Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The driver has gone nuts by becoming a cut down piece of rubbish. How can I get earlier drivers?

It was an update problem. The printer installed on an LPT port instead of TCP/IP.  It is a networked printer and never before has an update changed this.  It also set "Print to file" instead of leaving the software to send the print file going to the printer.

WIN 10 update or HP update? Who knows.

The very basic print menu was the software's attempt to print despite all the changes. All good now.
