HP T230 prints from Word and Excel, not from other programs like Adobe Acrobat or other CAD programs I have.

I get a very basic error printing message.

I was able to print a few days ago. Not anymore.

I would check and make sure that Windows has not replaced the HP printer driver with an IPP driver which will not provide full support for this product. On your computer, go to control panel, then right click on "devices and printers" and select open from the drop down menu. right click on the icon for your printer and select "printer properties". Then click on the advanced tab and it should show you which driver is installed. If the driver named is either IPP or Class driver these are embedded Microsoft drivers and do not support your printer properly.

That doesn't seem to be he problem.

When I go to print, the printer makes a noise telling me that it's communicating. But then the error message comes up.

Did you download the Designjet and Pagewide XL driver kit (around 1.1 Gigabytes). That package comes with both a PDF print driver and a PCL3 driver. Have you tried both drivers?

I tried downloading that a few days ago and it failed.

Tried again this morning. failed again. But this time I chose "resume" and it finished.

It didn't help.

It's an old program, but it does print to a regular (letter-size) printer. 

And other programs will print to the T230.

Thank you for your help.
