T520 - Message Error: There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn printer off.

The odds are pretty good that you need a new printhead.    Sometimes the problem is it wont unlock the printhead from the service station so you can position the carriage where you can remove the printhead and ink.   And rebooting it will error out with out moving or unlocking the carriage.     With the printer off one might be able to gently push the spring loaded locking sled slightly down and move the printhead.   now you can remove the inks and the printhead from the sled.   When its turned on the printer will want a printhead and you install the new one.

 

The new printhead comes with inks.   do not put them in until the new printhead is installed.   the new printhead will want them brand new or wont let you complete the install.
