Designjet T650 had a paper jam, removed and now will not load paper. Gives message of printer cannot detect or load media, have tried different media with same results.

HERE IS HOW I RESOLVED.  I download edthe HP service manual (Google it), on the right side of the print head is black piece with 1 screw.  If you remove the print head, you can now rock the carriage and get your finger under black piece.  This is the paper sensor...mine was covered with ink, probably from not replacing the printhead often enough.  I use my index finger to run over this sensor, removing enough ink so the paper was now found.

If you do not get ink on your finger, either you have a different problem or you are at wrong spot.  As clue, the line sensor is black, almost hockey-stick looking piece, right side of carriage...remember, sensor faces down so you cannot see it.

Replace print heads, reboot printer.  Boom!  Fixed
