Until yesterday, the printer was printing 36" x 24" drawings just fine with a 36" roll.  I had not changed anything in the driver or the settings, but now all of a sudden it is rotating the print 90 degrees so there is a lot of paper waste.  I have tried everything I know to solve this problem but nothing works.  Is this a driver issue?  Or  what?

A driver issue is a real possibility and often caused by a Windows update that triggers a driver refresh and the correct HP drivers get replaced with Microsoft generic drivers that do not support all functions well or at all.

Yes, that appears to have been the problem.  I did a system restore which took almost all day and the problem was solved.

However, how do I prevent it from happening again?
