Hi, I am having problems with my Designjet T730. This machine is my work tool and I can't afford to lose it now. The ink carriage won't move and the screen shows different error codes: 0002-0001 and 0042-0117. The belt seems to be working fine and everything else is in good condition. There are no paper jams or anything of the sort. We took it apart as much as we could to clean it but after turning it on again the message on the screen is the same. What else can we do? Please help 🙏🏻

The 0002 error does not show in the service guide but the second error indicates an issue with the carriage servo. Common issue on this model is that the idler pulley for the drive belt, which is on the right side of the carriage gets dislodged affecting belt tension and tracking. if you are looking at the idler, examine the pulley closely as if damaged it will be at an angle and not straight up and down. The belt kit comes with a new idler pulley or you might be able to get it by itself.
