Hello,

I am having a problem with printing out my files. There is unwanted black ink leaking in certain places at the beginning of the print. I tried cleaning printhead, but that didn’t work. I’m wondering if it’s ink tray that catches all the extra ink is overflowing or if I need to replace the entire printhead. Any and all suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!!

Hello @Eazyknes

In order to replace the printhead you can consider for how long since you have it and how often do you print, the original printhead has 1 year of warranty and the recommended usage is less than 4000ml

To check this press the power button once the printer is on and the in the support menu go to information and check the PHA install date and then the drop count.

Also about the leakage you can remove the printhead and clean its contacts if they are dusty.

Replacing the printhead is easier than the service station which is the other component you mentioned as tray because only a certified engineer can do it.

Here you have the printhead's part number: C1Q10A HP 711 Designjet Printhead Replacement Kit

When replacing it make sure to use the setup cartridge that come with it.
