Product: HP DesignJet Z3200 44-in PostScript Photo Printer

My printer is built in 2010, is second-hand, and is in perfect condition. All 12 cartridges are the HP 70 model and  90 % full or better. Why HP is blocking the functioning of the printer based on out-of-date cartridges?  Isn't it up to me to decide if the print quality is good enough?  The printer has no warranty anymore and I believe that it is also up to me to decide if it will affect weel working of the highly expensive quality printer. Please take away this unwanted HP protection
