HP DesignJet XL 3600dr 36-in Multifunction Printer with PostScript/PDF

What do I do about this? I have a DesignJet XL 3600 plotter which needs 766F ink cartridges but those are NOT available anywhere anymore. I tried using a 766 cartridge but those are incompatible. How am I supposed to use this $20k+ printer if they don't even make ink for it?

I beleive thr `F` is a region code..make sure the printers firmware is up to date...

The odd thing is looking at the Supplies document for this model they only list the non "f" versions. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_6878499-6931833-16

I have to agree with the first reply that you should check the firmware currently installed. It is possible that if the old F cartridges were indeed regionalized they have discontinued that practice and only make one cartridge and a firmware update might be required to enable that.

The firmware is up to date. It makes no difference.
