Hi there..

I recently replaced my power supply following the 3:10 error.

Everything seemed to be okay except the diagnostic prints were displaying symptoms of roller issues. For example the text was being printed twice as if the paper was moving erratically. I followed a suggestion on another forum and cleaned the roller. This did not solve the problem, and I actually heard a click and saw the roller jump at the moment of the misprint on the A4 sheet. I wasn't 100% convinced I'd seen it, so I printed another sheet, this time with my phone recording the movement of the roller. I think I managed to catch the moment the printer died as this time bizarrely the roller turned a little and then refused to move for the whole print, except at the end when the roller turned to eject the print! The next thing I see is the error 22.3.10. Surely 2 power supplies can't be bad?

Any ideas would be appreciated immensely! Thanks

Your current 22 error indicates a problem with the right ink service station. Find a copy of the manual online and run the diagnostics for the printer to test subsystems. Possibly the power supply failure damaged other components or the power supply was not the problem in the first place. If the original error was 3.00.10 that indicates a bad battery on the formatter and it should be replaced.

Thanks very much. Before I swapped the power supply the printer could not be booted at all. The display would flash for less than a second and then that was that. Now I can boot but there are a host of other problems. Some new ones today:

First I Replaced CMOS battery

Then...

81.03
String_Power_off
Error: Not properly stopped
It was impossible to stop properly the servo before setting the encoder position

22.3.10 at ink station position ie right
Ink Supply Station
BONGO
Unable to depressurise the BPS 3

I'm going to pause until you reply as I'm not sure I can access the diagnostics. You were right the battery was testing empty.

Hello again. I'm still trying to troubleshoot my 22.3.10 error message which I believe relates to the ink service station. Some more information on this issue.

Admittedly I am still a little lost! Should I strip down and clean the ink service station or should I buy another one?

I booted up in service mode again and ran some tests this evening..

1)  The service station tested as Okay.

2) I attempted to print a diagnostic print. Half way through printer stops with error 81.01 Possible paper jam. This has happened once before in my current troubles and both times I can see no cause for the jam message.

3) Yesterday (I have this one on video!) the paper was in position ready to print and there was a loud sound and the paper was vibrating back and forward rapidly with a few mms of travel.

4) I ran option 6 SOL (not sure what that means) However when Capping service station appeared in the window, immediately there appeared the 22.3.10 error.
