HP DesignJet Z5200 44-in Photo Printer
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I'm using the latest HP DesignJet and PageWide XL PS Driver for Windows driver version: 61.242.12211.50

My printer is a Z5200ps.

In the Printer Preferences dialog window, Color tab, bottom left, it has Printer Emulation. The drop-down menu only has three options:

  • HP DesignJet 500/800 series
  • HP DesignJet 1000 series
  • HP DesignJet 4000/4500 series

Unlike the PCL3 Driver dialog window, there seems to be no way to choose "No Emulation." Why is this not an option with the PostScript Driver? Why must I emulate another device?
