designjet T1100

have a 24" designjet T1100.....that keeps going into error 86:01

1.cleared cleaned and high pressure blew all platen areas

2.cleaned encoder, carriage bar slide bush on carriage

3.changed new  belt ...fully tensioned

4.smooth carriage passage without any hitches on initialising

5.service station initialised OK

Error appears 86:01

....did the diagnostic scan axis  ...OK

electronic Board OK...but it does say in a string of that the scan axis is 44.....attached photo

is it reading a 44" axis instead of a24" axis......

so is the board suitable for use both on a designjet T1100 44" and 24" or

do we have to upgrade firmware to the 24" model

In the diagnostics menu, go to item 10 - Unit information and confirm that the part number listed is the same as the part number on the serial number sticker. If they are different then the Print Mech PCA has either been corrupted or an used one from another machine was installed. The only fix is to install a reconfigured PCA but you must obtain that from tech support. An incorrectly installed cutter can also cause this issue and removing the cutter and testing is the suggested diagnostics for this possibility.

If it were the printmech then it would read error  01.1:10  but this is not the case.....

im still suspecting the firmware is for a 44 inch T seriesn inlaid  and doesnt  stop at 24 " thus error 86:01

as i tested a couple of printmech  with this board ...alll ends at 86:01

if i use a main PCA board that is for a 44" on a 24" designjet t1100  ........will it error 86:01 show up in diagnostics from the main PCA board or from the Printmec board

need to know where the scan axis will detect that the axis length is 24" as i did see on diagnostic  scan axis the length 44"  and an error 87:11

:is it the main PCA ......or is it in the printmec
