hp plotter t830 can not detect the paper

A common cause of this is a leaking printhead. Ink, typically black, leaks from the head. This excess ink pool on top of the service station and carriage assembly when moving, drags the ink onto the cleaning brush that is supposed to remove paper dust from the paper sensor. This ink is then smeared onto the sensor, effectively blinding the printer. If you open the right hand door where the printhead parts you can look to see if there is excess ink. If there is you may need to replace the service station and the printhead to resolve the problem. If there is no excess ink, then the top of form sensor in the paper path might be defective or damaged.
