Is this the lateist version firmware for the DJ 5500ps ?

I found the links in this forum for formatting and loading a new HD with Firmware for the DJ5500ps and wanted to make one up and have on had when the old one I have takes a nose dive

 

the firmware I am using on the DJ now is

If that doesn't work for you, I've had very good luck using Ebay as a source for new (or used) HD for very little money.  Like you, I wanted a back up.  So I bought one for each of my 5000 and 5500 and swapped in the new and stored the old orginals.  The new HD came with the latest firmware (and last) and it was a simple swap and go.

 

BTW, thanks for posting the link.  Interesting.

 

I think I have a copy of the last version of the firmware for the 5000 series printers, if you need it.
