I have a Designjet T230, and am unable to create custom papersizes. I

. custom properties - printing preferences - papersize - create+ (when i click Create it blocks and I have to stop the program via the taskmanager).

This problem exists since I changed from Autocad to Bricscad, but it also does not work from windows 'printer & scanners'

It also does not print longer plots dan 1.60m anymore

Hello @PienDeb ,

If you're experiencing difficulties creating custom paper sizes and printing longer plots on your HP DesignJet T230, here are some steps and considerations that may help resolve the issue:

  1. Update Drivers and Software:

    • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers and firmware installed for your HP DesignJet T230. Visit the HP Support site to download the latest updates.
    • Update BricsCAD to the latest version to ensure compatibility with your operating system and printer.
  2. Verify Printer Settings:

    • Access the printer settings through Windows 'Printers & Scanners'. Ensure the printer is selected, then navigate to 'Manage' and check the 'Printing Preferences'.
    • Attempt to create custom paper sizes directly from the printer driver interface rather than through BricsCAD.
  3. Reset Printer System:

    • If the creation of custom paper sizes still causes freezes, consider restarting your computer and printer to see if it resolves the issue.
    • Resetting the printer settings to factory defaults can sometimes resolve configuration issues.
  4. Use HP Utilities:

    • Utilize any HP utility tools available for your DesignJet printer to manage paper sizes and queue jobs.
  5. Check for Software Conflicts:

    • Ensure there are no other applications or processes that might be interfering with the printer's settings, especially if the issue started after switching from AutoCAD to BricsCAD.
  6. Paper Size Limitation:

    • Verify whether there’s a limitation set within the driver for creating long paper sizes. Some print drivers have predefined limits for plot lengths.

These steps should help in diagnosing and potentially resolving the problem with creating custom paper sizes and printing long plots.
