Hi there we had the exact same problem and we "Think" that we found a bad batch of phones that were manufactured in 2022 June to September time with a revision of ZZB. Let me know if you experienced the same thing. It looks like a known issue.

I guess that I should have posted an update. We have received confirmation from our VOIP provider that, indeed, the 1st 3 revisions (Rev. A, Rev. B, and Rev. C) of this model phone are faulty. We are currently working to get all of the affected models replaced. As a work-around, if the device is plugged into the wall with the provided AC wall adapter, the phone will work just fine. The network cable has to be removed until the Poly splash screen disappears, then it can be plugged back in. Not an ideal situation, but it makes it work until it can be replaced.

Hello, my company has around 3K vvx 250 Ip phones globally and after 1 year, we are also experiencing multiple issues including the buzzing sound, not fully booting up, black screens, etc. different Firmware version has no affect. We've probably had to replaced close to 50 phones already.

I wouldn't have faith in a simple RMA with HP at this point. We have this same issue on 50+ phones. It took 4 months to receive a batch of phones with virtually no communication during that time, and when they finally arrived they were all Refurbished VVX 250 Revision A devices. We tried swapping some out in the hopes that maybe they specifically fixed the issue on the these, but during the install at one of our locations the "refurbished" phones starting hissing before we even left.
Not to mention that HP didn't even factory reset a handful of the phones. We were sent phones that still had a previous company's information and logo background on it... so we don't even have the admin password to be able to easily factory reset them.
