Hello, I have an XA0024 that was bought in 2020-2021; it was lightly used for 9 months. I installed Zorin on the PC, and the audio didn't work. After slamming the screen and turning the computer over, I tried almost everything, and it worked at random. Is there a permanent solution?

@nublord211, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It seems that you are experiencing intermittent audio issues with your HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-xa0024 after installing Zorin OS. While physical impacts like slamming can temporarily resolve connectivity issues, they could potentially cause further damage. Here’s a systematic approach to diagnose and find a permanent solution:
Update Audio Drivers:
- Make sure you have the latest audio drivers installed. You can do this by visiting the HP Support website and searching for your model to find compatible drivers.
Audio Settings:
- Navigate to the audio settings. Ensure that the correct audio output device is selected.
- Check the volume levels and mute settings to confirm they are correctly configured.
Test Different Outputs:
- If your All-in-One has multiple audio output options (such as headphone jacks or Bluetooth), test these to determine if the issue is specific to one type of output.
BIOS Update:
- Check if there is a BIOS update available for your PC model. Updating BIOS can sometimes resolve hardware compatibility issues.
Reinstall Zorin OS:
- Consider reinstalling Zorin OS to rule out any installation mishaps or configuration issues that might be affecting the audio.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
