How do I hook up a 5.1 speaker system to my new Omen 30L. I only see "Mic in", "Audio out", and "Audio in" on the rear panel.

What is your 5.1 speaker system ? What is your Omen 30L-something ? For example

                 OMEN 30L GT13-0014

Regards.

@Banhein

Thanks for your response. I have a Logitech Z506 speaker system and an Omen 30L GT13-0014, per your example.

Regards,

Stu.

You need TWO cables to connect to your computer (for front speakers and rear speakers) to be able to have 5.1. But your computer only has one port.

To be able to have all 5.1 output, you need a 5.1 sound card. There are many around including USB 5.1 sound card. For example

           USB sound card 5.1

Hello

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06613573

  • Audio Codec: ALC3866-CG
  • High Definition (Azalia) 5.1 channel audio support
    note:
The motherboard supports 5.1 surround sound. If the computer does not have the required audio jacks for a 5.1 configuration, additional hardware is required to use 5.1 surround sound.
  • Audio jack presence detection

(3) Audio ports (line-in/line-out/microphone)

check anyway i don't have the same computer, but it works with different jacks sometimes, see if you have the audio panel
it may be different but for example we can see here that it is the other sockets that can be used
