Your system has the sunflower motherboard

Do you have a PCIe adapter for audio?

If not then your motherboard uses Azalia which is a Realtek product

This is your audio driver unless you have an add-in audio card

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp102001-102500/sp102350.exe

Do you have a Conexant audio card?

If not then go to "add or remove programs" and look for Conexant and delete that driver

If you do have a Conexant card then the on-board audio needs to be disabled in the bios and we need the model of the add-in PCIe card so the correct Conexant driver can be installed

I found two threads on the HP Users forum about that subject, with possible solutions.

First one

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/A-Conexant-audio-device-could-not-be-found/td-p/5891374

and then

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/A-Conexant-audio-device-could-not-be-found-The-applicat...

Those are for older PC's so the drivers might be older but the thought process is similar.

The drivers for that PC are listed here

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-desktop-pc-590-p0000a/19390500/model/30...

Click on the "Detect my drivers"
