Audio Driver 10.23.0.3586 was updated to 10.25.0.3950 and all audio disappeared from my HP desktop. Luckily, old driver was still in device manager and I was able to roll back the change. Word of caution...just because an update is available, doesn't mean it has been thoroughly tested and is viable for your system.

Hi @xcoalminer,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I completely understand how that must have been. When a driver update suddenly causes your audio to disappear. I’m glad to hear you were able to roll back to the previous version and restore sound that was a smart move.

If you’d like, I can walk you through how to pause or defer driver updates in Windows so you have more control over when they’re installed.  Would you like me to share those steps?

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
