Couple of days ago my PC lost it's sound. I have tried the recovery manager, looking online and cannot find a way to get it back. When I put the mouse over the speaker icon on the bottom right a message comes up: "No Audio Output Device is installed". I am at the end of my rope. The PC has no pci or pci-e slots in it. I know it was not an expensive computer but it works great other than the sound. I would like to fix it. Any Help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I would look in Device Manager for the sound hardware to note the if any devices have a note or symbol indicating a problem with the drivers. Then look for that hardware ID to get the correct driver installed.
I suspect some "software update" corrupted the driver.
I'm not an HP employee.
