Hi @Joud49,

Thanks for sharing the details.

It sounds like your HP Pavilion x360 14 2-in-1 Laptop is experiencing a significant issue with its audio drivers or hardware. Here’s how you can troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

1. Check for Disabled Devices:

  • Sometimes, audio devices can be accidentally disabled.
  • Steps:
    1. Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select Sounds (if available).
    2. In the Playback tab, right-click in the blank space and check Show Disabled Devices.
    3. If your devices appear, right-click on them and select Enable.

2. Reinstall Audio Drivers:

  • If the audio devices aren’t showing up, it could be due to missing or corrupted drivers.
  • Steps:
    1. Open Device Manager:
      • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
    2. Scroll down to Sound, video and game controllers (if available). If you don't see this section, the audio driver may be missing.
    3. If there’s no audio driver listed, click on Action in the Device Manager menu and select Scan for hardware changes.
    4. If this doesn’t bring back your audio devices, go to the HP Support website and download the latest audio drivers specific to your laptop model.
    5. Install the drivers and restart your computer.

3. Use Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can help identify and fix audio issues.
  • Steps:
    1. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
    2. Find Playing Audio and click Run.
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions to see if Windows can resolve the issue.

4. Check BIOS Settings:

  • It’s possible that the audio device is disabled in the BIOS.
  • Steps:
    1. Restart your computer and press the appropriate key (usually F10 or Esc) to enter the BIOS setup.
    2. Look for settings related to audio or sound and make sure they are enabled.
    3. Save and exit the BIOS, then let the laptop boot normally.

Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

    3. Restart your computer after the updates.

8. Use HP Recovery Manager (if applicable):
