Hi @Create_smith25,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like the audio drivers may have been affected by the Windows update. You can try the following steps to resolve the "no audio devices installed" issue.
Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve the issue after an update.
Check the Audio Driver:
- Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
- If you see any yellow warning icons next to the audio device, right-click on it and choose Update driver.
- You can also try Uninstalling the driver and then restart your laptop. Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver upon reboot.
Run Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Select Playing Audio and run the troubleshooter to automatically detect and fix problems with audio.
Reinstall or Rollback Audio Drivers:
- In Device Manager, right-click on your audio device under Sound, video and game controllers.
- If there's an option to Roll Back Driver, choose it to revert to the previous version before the update.
- Alternatively, visit the HP support website, find your laptop model, and download the latest audio drivers.
Check Audio Settings:
- Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select Open Sound settings.
- Ensure the correct playback device is selected under Output.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
