The first time I saw the B&O audio control, I can turn on and off the audio preset and the EQ control. But now, the audio preset is in music by default, the switch for it is gone, same goes to the EQ control. I tried searching everywhere, from the settings to the internet. I somehow the only one have the problem. After seeing it one time, I never saw the music, movie, and voice option ever again.
Can I possibly have it back??

Hi @dokyeom,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
f you're experiencing issues with the EQ (Equalizer) control being missing or locked on a device or software set to "music," it's likely a problem related to the specific audio equipment or software you're using. Here are some steps to help you troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Check the Audio Source/Application:
- Ensure that you are using an audio source or application that supports EQ adjustments. Not all audio sources or applications offer equalizer controls.
Device-Specific EQ Settings:
- For many devices (such as smartphones or tablets), EQ settings can be found in the device's settings menu. Go to your device's settings, find the audio or sound section, and look for EQ or equalizer settings.
Audio Software:
- If you're using audio software on a computer, make sure you're using software that includes an equalizer feature. Popular media players like VLC, Windows Media Player, and iTunes typically have EQ options.
- If you're using streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music, EQ settings might be available within their settings or preferences. Check the settings menu of the specific application.
Hardware Settings:
- If you're using external audio equipment, such as headphones, speakers, or a receiver, check the physical controls on the device itself. Some audio equipment has dedicated EQ buttons or knobs that allow you to adjust the sound profile.
Update or Reinstall Software:
- If you're using software on a computer, make sure you have the latest version installed. Outdated software can sometimes have issues.
- If the EQ control is still missing or locked, try uninstalling and reinstalling the software to reset any configuration issues.
Operating System Sound Settings:
- On some computers, you can access system-wide sound settings that include an equalizer. Check your computer's sound settings to see if there's an EQ option there.
Driver Updates:
- Ensure that your audio drivers are up to date. Outdated or corrupt audio drivers can cause problems with EQ settings.
Reset to Default:
- If you've made extensive changes to your EQ settings and can't restore them to default, consider resetting your audio settings to default. This can often be done in the audio or sound settings of your device or software.
Contact Support:
- If you've tried all of the above steps and are still unable to access or change the EQ settings, it may be helpful to contact phone support for your specific device or software. They can provide more tailored assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
