@Abhay1803, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Beeping Sound and "Boot Device Not Found" Error on HP 2000 Laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The continuous beeping sound and the "boot device not found" error you are encountering with your HP 2000 laptop may indicate an issue with your hardware components, such as the hard drive or memory modules. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

Step 1: Verify Beep Codes

  • Beeping sounds can signify various hardware issues. Count the number of beeps and refer to the HP beep code documentation to understand what the beeps indicate.

Step 2: Check Boot Order in BIOS

  • Restart your laptop and press the appropriate key (usually F10, Esc, or Del) to enter the BIOS Setup Utility.
  • Navigate to the Boot menu and ensure that your hard drive is set as the first boot device.
  • Save changes and exit the BIOS setup.

Step 3: Reset the BIOS

  • Power off your laptop.
  • Disconnect any cables, including the power adapter.
  • With the power adapter unplugged, press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power adapter and turn on the laptop.

Step 4: Check the Hard Drive Connection

  • Power off the laptop and remove the battery and power adapter.
  • Open the laptop’s back panel to access the hard drive.
  • Ensure that the hard drive is properly connected. If necessary, remove the hard drive and then reseat it.

Step 5: Test the Hard Drive

  • Power on the laptop and immediately press the F2 key to enter the System Diagnostics menu.
  • Run a Hard Drive Test to check for potential issues. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the test.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
