HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC TG01-2000a (2Z6E2AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

The sound through Bluetooth is laggy (about 1 second) and sounds slower, like at 0.8x the normal speed. I installed all the windows updates, i also installed old drivers for bluetooth, I uninstalled all Bluetooth drivers and reinstalled, I removed the bluetooth device and reconnected. I have latest bios update. Still the problem. What could I do?

The model of the PC is HP TG01-2360 PC

PD: The normal sound is perfect, problem is only through bluetooth.

It is possible there is incompatibility with the BlueTooth of your system and the headphones

https://www.headphonesty.com/2020/07/fix-sound-delay-bluetooth-headphones/

What version Bluetooth does your system have?  Use the following to check, then compare to your headset version.

https://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-to-check-bluetooth-version-in-windows-10

I have  "LMP 8.602" which translates to Bluetooth 4.2, not the latest but it works perfectly for me.  If your headset requires 5.0 then a problem if your system is 4.2

It is possible to upgrade the m.2 to later versions.  Also, the company that make the m.2 adapter may have a newer driver than HP.

For what it is worth, I can put a Blu-ray DVD from Netflix into my Blu-ray set-top player and occasionally get a full 2 second lag to where I have to enable captions.  I think the problem is Netflix as it does not happen if I use RedBox.

Thanks for your answer. I tried all of that but same problem. I got the issue in my soundbar. I was looking for how to change the bluetooth codec but couldnt find anything. I give up and going to buy a cable.

What was the version of your system Bluetooth and the headset Bluetooth?

Depending on when you got your system you may have an older  Bluetooth board (4.2)

you might consider upgrading because you could also get better Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

compare your existing Wi-Fi / Bluetooth to the following option boards
