Hi @Aarchopr,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your Bluetooth speaker works with other devices but isn’t producing sound from your desktop PC, either wirelessly or via a wired connection. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check the playback device on your PC
– Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar → Open Sound Settings → Output.
– Make sure the Bluetooth speaker (or wired connection) is selected as the default playback device.

Disconnect and reconnect the Bluetooth speaker
– Remove the speaker from Windows Bluetooth settings → Settings → Devices → Bluetooth & other devices → Remove device.
– Pair it again and ensure Windows shows it as connected.

Verify the volume and mute settings
– Check both Windows volume and the speaker’s volume.
– Make sure it isn’t muted or set to very low volume on either the PC or the speaker.

Update audio drivers
– Go to Device Manager → Sound, video and game controllers → right-click your audio device → Update driver.
– Also check for Bluetooth driver updates under Bluetooth devices.

Test another audio output on the PC
– Plug in headphones or another speaker to confirm sound is working from the PC.
– If other outputs work, the issue is specific to Bluetooth or that speaker connection.

Restart the PC and the speaker
– Sometimes a full restart resolves communication issues.
– Turn off the speaker, restart the PC, then power on and reconnect the speaker.

Check for Windows audio services
– Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and ensure “Windows Audio” and “Bluetooth Support Service” are running.
– If not, right-click → Start or Restart the service.

I hope this helps.
