Although I am using the same blank cds I can no longer burn cds from iTunes or windows media. The error code in iTunes is 0xC0AA0301. Does anyone know how to fix this or can let me know a brand of cds that will work with this model? Thanks

I have tried the troubleshooting steps but they don't work. I suspect it is the brand of blank CD although they are the same make that I have used previously. I am reluctant to continue to buy different brands of blank CD in the hope that they will be compatible. Is there nothing that will tell me what brand of CDs I can use with this computer or is it a case of trial & error at my own expense?

From memory, you can have software, which can tell you what type of cd exactly
but unless someone has already tested a particular brand, it seems to me that it is impossible to know.
If the cds have been used with another computer, this can happen, only if older than it does not work on another
I stopped backup cd discs because of this, because, after changing computers, no longer usable from one model to another
Have you tried with another software?
just in case, I don't know if it can help, but I seem to have the same problem here

Thanks for your time with this. I will try a different brand of CD first and move on to the other steps depending on the results. I am unable to burn in Windows Media either and today I have been getting the following message when a blank disc is inserted:
Do you know why I am getting this message now when I never used to?

no idea, maybe after an update
I'm on windows 11 and haven't tested it.

Ok, so I just placed a dvd+rw
auto run
I then have this same window, but no memory of how it was before, as I said, I no longer burn CDs
so finally then?
