Hi,
I have several HP EliteDesk 800G1 computers and in all of them the combo port ( headphone/mic) in front doesn´t work. I tried to update the drivers, update windows, test a pure windows iso, check the bios, etc. Nothing worked, it makes me wonder if this port is really a combo jack, because it just recognize only one feature (mic or headphone).

Front: 3.5 mm headphone output and microphone jacks
I find that not very clear, but it seems that you have at the front a headphone port only (not audio / microphone combo)
but the second one, I'm not sure if just micro , although it just says micro in the second document
at the back there would be a socket for loudspeakers only
so you should be able to use the headset in the dedicated port, and use a simple microphone, in the microphone port
only i see you mentioned windows 10
If it doesn't work it could be a driver issue.

Hello
can you specify the model, and what you connect
- HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Small Form Factor PC
- HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Ultra-slim PC
- HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Desktop Mini PC
- HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Tower PC
I looked, here, and each time, it seems to me, it's a headphone port, and a separate microphone port, except you say combined, I have a doubt?
