I have just bought HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-d0013na 2 days ago. Everything worked like a charm on day 1 but when i started my PC today, the speaker icon on the bottom right has a red X on it and the audio will not work. I ran the troubleshooter and it recommended restarting. I have tried restarting a number of times and even tried plugging in my headphones to no avail.
I installed the realtek HD audio driver via HP support assistant. Perhaps that update caused a problem.
Please advise.
Thanks!

Welcome to HP Community
I have gone through your Post and would like to help
Try reinstalling the Audio Driver from Device Manager
- Select the Start button, type Device Manager, and select it from the list of results.
- Look for Audio Input & Output Adapters and expand the List
- Look for Audio driver then right-click it, and select Update Driver.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If these steps don't work, try reinstalling the driver: Open Device Manager, right-click the Audio driver and select Uninstall. Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
Also ensure the Computer has the latest BIOS. Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers
